A Memorable First Story Time at LIT Java Coffee & Books

I had my very first story time for Billy Builds the Future at LIT Java Coffee & Books in Pearland, Texas and it was an heartwarming experience!

From the moment the kids gathered around, their excitement was contagious. As I read Billy’s story, I could see their eyes light up with curiosity and wonder. They were especially fascinated by the robot Billy built. Seeing them so engaged made my heart melt. I knew at that moment that this book was doing exactly what I hoped, sparking young minds to dream big in tech!

But the fun didn’t stop with the story! After we finished reading, I handed out Billy’s Tech Badge coloring sheets and stickers. The kids LOVED them! They proudly colored their badges.

What made this event even more special was the support from parents. Many of them told me how much they loved the concept of my book and appreciated that I, as someone working in tech, created a story to introduce kids to the field in such a fun and relatable way. Their encouragement meant the world to me and reinforced why I started this journey in the first place.

Overall, this first story time was everything I could have hoped for, adorable, inspiring, and so much fun! I left feeling energized and excited to do even more. This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait for the next one!
